About Aroga Network
Aroga Network endeavours to assist organisations to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their environmental and social impact by ensuring surplus resources have an extended life.
Aroga provides an online platform to connect donors and recipients of goods donated by donors in accordance with the Aroga Terms of Use to which all parties must accept. The Terms of use set out the code of conduct required to be met by all parties using the Aroga online platform.
Our name is a play on words. ‘Aroga’ is the reverse spelling of the Greek word ‘Agora’ meaning ‘open place of assembly’.
Early in Greek history designated areas in the city were used as open areas where free-born citizens could gather.
Later these areas became known as the ‘Agora’ where the area was used as open-air, often tented marketplaces where merchants would set up their stalls and exchange their goods.
